December 2, 1899

Tombstone.

This morning I walked over to the crowd in front of Kate’s and smiled at Alex on the horse and waved back. We talked a bit and Alex continued to ride as I talked with the others about how quiet things were in town. Paisley asked if we’d seen a shepherd-type dog around and we said that we hadn’t. I sighed a bit, looking in the direction where Alex rode off, but I stayed quiet.

“Alex seems quite out of sorts,” Bree observed.

“We’re um... working through some stuff I guess,” I sighed a bit.

“I know Trin. Hopes for best for you,” she said.

“It takes time Trin,” Ryker said.

“Thanks hon,” I nodded to Bree. “Just hoping to get distracted with some cases but I guess there ain’t any,” I looked at Ryker with a bit of a sigh.

Paisley told Ryker he would be okay and I asked what had happened to him and they started to talk about boxing at Annie’s. I was grateful for the distraction and listened as they talked. We talked again about the usefulness of guns and Devin talked about how Black Diamond was so peaceful but I shared a knowing look with Ryker, remembering how things had ended there.

Bisbee.

I went to do my live gig in the Stock Exchange in Bisbee. It was very emotional as it was the first time there since Alex and I had split up, but I knew it was something I had to do to move on from the hurt. It helped to have Cooky, Bree and Pet there as well as Spank, Ruby and Sera to support me as I played through the tears.
