Tombstone.
I walked into town after being away for the weekend in Canada and looked around town. I had needed to get away and clear my head before tackling these two major cases that seemed so daunting. It was hard to face these problems on my own when there was no other partner or deputies around to help me solve cases. It was becoming frustrating and I often wondered why I bothered when it seemed I could never actually close a case.
I talked with a man in the street as Pawsie bounded over and licked at my hand, nuzzling against me. The man’s name was Seth Amos and we talked about how he had used to be a deputy sheriff over in Bisbee a long time ago. We talked about how there was a growing need for deputies in the area.
I told him about how I had gone to visit my family up north for the weekend and Jimmy and Tessa came over to us then. I talked with them a while before heading back to the office to do some paperwork.
