Bisbee. 

This morning John and I relaxed on the tree and talked about the work we had piling up. So let’s go down the list one by one... Number one. Ladies’ society fire. You’ll talk with Angeles and Rikki, since Angeles said to me in Diamond last week that Rikki was there... and I’ll talk to Kris and find out what he knows?”

“Check.” 

“Anything else for that case? That you can think of?” 

“Nope. Not till I talk to them.” 

“Alright. Number two... the mysterious money case. I think I should try to talk to Ben.” 

“Ben Stolen or Ben Boney?” 

“And see if he might make a mistake of some sort... maybe talk to him about the bags of money in the apartment. Ben Cravens, the one who admitted to having all that up there...” 

“Right.” 

“I doubt he’ll talk to me but it’s worth a try. And I’d still like to find Mike.” 

“Right. Mike I am almost ready to write off.” 

“You and me both but we need to finish all angles. Moving on... Bank Robbery. I need to get that statement back from Pet signed; she said she’d do i today, and we need to talk to Strider. Maybe I can talk to Ben about that too and see if he breaks.” 

“I didn’t think Ben was involved in that robbery.” 

“Oh right... getting all this money confused. That’s the one with your conversation with Meg Larson right?” 

“Yes it was. Cisse in pretty well wrapped up save witness statement.”

“You need to put that interview into a witness statement format. We don’t have enough to incriminate anyone though.” 

“On the bank robbery?” he asked and I nodded. “Not yet, but we will.” 

“Pet’s statement was about the robbery at the dance... That’s the one I need back from her. Also the kidnapping statement.” 

“Yah... We will get it from her.” 

“Alright so... Cisse case...... Oh back up... That bank robbery at the dance...” 

“If I do I’ll fall.” 

I chuckled and asked, “What else should we do with that one? Just keep asking around to see if anyone was there?” 

“Noo... we need to interview Sniper, Jann, Jack... and Seth...” 

“Ah right, the wild bunch who acted as law.” 

“Yup.” 

“Got it.” 

“Try to stay with me, will ya?” he laughed. 

“Okay moving on... Cisse case. You’re gonna talk to Sonnet, Angel.” 

“Just need witness statement and then hopefully law will decide to work one day and can make an arrest.” 

“The two witness statements is all you need for that, right?” 

“Ya know in Chicago, it was easier..when they picketed, we just broke legs. Cisse, yes, the witness statements.” 

“Last case...” I laughed. 

“Cisse, yes, the witless statements,” he said and I laughed. “In the down time I am also working on master list updates too.” 

“Fantastic. Ok so for this kidnapping case all we need now is a statement from Strider, right?” 

“I’m gonna say yeah...” 

“We know who it was. We’d have the statements from the three who were there... and mine stating that we heard him confess to it.” 

“You, not we. I wasn’t there when he actually confessed.” 

“Yes of course. Then we’re good to go. On the to do lists anyway.” 

“As long as you kept the lists straight,” he laughed. 

“Mmhm,” I nodded and we relaxed in the tree under the hot sun while we let the information settle in our minds before going back to work.
