Colorado.
Tonight I was walking through town and noticed the group putting out some flames. Chels looked around and asked, “Anyone want to head to Kingsley? Trin ya wanna go?” she asked as Sam, TJ and Twist agreed to ride to Kingsley with her.
“I’ve decided not to go on these things if I plan to live to write about ’em,” I shook my head. “I’ve seen what happens to folks who go down to Kingsley.”
“Oh dear lord Trin man up!!” Twist rolled her eyes.
“Ain’t about mannin’ up, it’s about wantin to do the job still,” I shrugged. I didn’t care what they thought. I remembered my first boss’ words about how the information was more important than the battle.
I waited in front of the clinic, since I figured that’s where I would find people soon enough. The group rode in and I noticed a woman tied up and being dragged by Sam. The woman was dragged into the courthouse and I grew even more curious. I continued to wait for news but when it started to get too dark out and no one came, I headed back home.
