April 20, 1870

Colorado Springs.

This morning I headed to the saloon in Colorado and waved to Bo at the bar. “Hello Miss Trin. I was just speaking of ya last night. Good to see ya,” he smiled.

“Hey Bo. Good to see you too. Could use a drink…”

“What can I get ya?”

“Whiskey and coffee would be good.”

He poured me the drink and I told him I was really bored lately. “So ya still doing the cooking spot out there?” he asked.

“Nah.. Free and Twist killed my reputation 'round here so I just come back to visit.”

“How that? I ain’t heard anything.”

“See, no one cared about the last issue I put out either. Huge controversial columns and no one cared that the mayor aligned with the Apache to bring war on the town.”

“Never read it. I don’t read much.”

“Kinda started thinkin’ what's the point, ya know?”

We continued to talk, but it didn’t seem like much had changed or that anyone in Colorado had cared that we’d left.
